The Center for Telecommunication and Information Technology (CTTI) was established to integrate all computer and telecommunications services of the Generalitat of Catalonia in a single structure. Its functions indicate that the CTTI is the entity that ensures the direction, planning, management and control of computer services and telecommunications of the Generalitat of Catalonia. For all this the CTTI, in conjunction with the various departments of the Generalitat, designs, builds, coordinates and deploys various projects and actions in the field of TIC, Information Technology and Communication.
The project includes a rehabilitation and upgrading of all the levels of an existing block (7 floors total) to transform it into an office building for the Generalitat de Catalunya.
From this intervention, we should highlight the spaces created on the ground floor and Floor -1 (this report will focus exclusively on Floor -1), areas where a new "way of working" will be created, with new scenarios that represent a change of vision in the work habits of the new office of the CTTI.
The solution intends to create a "new office concept" with the following aims:
1. Generate new work dynamics
This space is conceived as a collaborative environment, where areas of relationship between users are created for the exchange of knowledge.
2. Foster communication
This space is the meeting point for the Public Administration's "cooperative projects", thus becoming an advanced and modern environment where "knowledge reciprocity" is actively promoted.
3. To model a new corporate identity
The adoption of this new "work environment" symbolizes a new sense of belonging of the CTTI in the Generalitat of Catalonia, as it presents itself as a strong image of innovation, with a highly technological space with great added value.
